SNOW HILL – Junior Lavrans Broen Holm earned co-champion honors at the Barton Fall Invitational, leading the University of Mount Olive men's golf team to a third-place finish to close out their fall season.

Holm finished 3-over for the tournament after shooting 1-under and 2-under in the first two rounds. He tied for first with Connor Carter of Catawba. Shawn Benson followed closely, tying for fourth at 7-over.

The Trojans placed third among 11 teams, trailing only Emmanuel (Ga.) and No. 10 Catawba. Their best showing came in round two with a 6-over team score, the second-best round in the field.

Rounding out UMO's lineup were Oscar Lonnqvist and Matthew Richardson (T-34th), Max Lindblad and William Sherman (38th, 39th), and Nico Duran and Tyler McKee (61st, 62nd).

Mount Olive returns to action at the Spring Kickoff hosted by Lincoln Memorial in St. Augustine, Fla., from Feb. 9–11.
