GREENVILLE, S.C. – The University of Mount Olive men's golf program was represented among the league's top performers as
Shawn Benson earned All-Conference Carolinas honors, as announced by the conference office.
Benson delivered a standout performance throughout the season, highlighted by his showing at the Conference Carolinas Men's Golf Championships. He secured individual medalist honors with a 4-under 212, winning the tournament by one stroke against a competitive field.
His performance at the championship also earned him a spot on the All-Tournament Team, further solidifying his place among the conference's elite golfers. Benson's consistency and ability to perform under pressure were key factors in his postseason recognition.
With his victory, Benson continued a strong tradition for the Trojans, marking the second consecutive year a Mount Olive golfer has claimed individual medalist honors at the conference championship after Oscar Loonqvist took the title in 2025.
