NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (April 1) -- After extending their winning streak with a pair of wins last week, the Trojans returned to the Inside Lacrosse Women (ILWomen)/Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) poll at No. 25, which was released by the organization on Monday.
The University of Mount Olive women's lacrosse team collected two wins on the road last week to improve to 9-2 overall while remaining undefeated at 5-0 away from Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex this season. The Trojans feature the top-ranked scoring defense (8.82) in the Conference Carolinas while sitting second in the league with 12.55 caused turnovers per game. Logan Hibbard with 56 points behind 31 goals and 25 assists.
Pace (9-0) continues to be the top-ranked program in NCAA Division II while receiving all 22 first-place votes. West Chester also remained undefeated with an 8-0 mark this season to sit second while Adelphi (7-1) leaped one position to rank No. 3 in the poll. Florida Southern improved to 9-3 following a nationally-ranked win over Tampa to move up three spots to No. 4 overall while East Stroudsburg (6-2) rounded out the top five.
The ILWomen/IWLCA Division II Poll will be unveiled on Mondays throughout the season. It is voted on jointly by coaches throughout the country and members of the media.
Mount Olive returns to non-conference play on Wednesday, April 3, when it travels to face No. 16 Wingate at 3 p.m.
