Box Score 2 MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina – The Trojans of the University of Mount Olive's Women's Lacrosse team fell to two nationally ranked opponents over the weekend. UMO fell to No. 22 Saint Leo 12-8 on Friday then dropped a 21-7 decision to No. 6 Florida Southern. The Trojans are now 2-3 on the season.
INSIDE THE SCORES
The Saint Leo contest saw UMO only out score the Lions in the second quarter when
Morgan Paige,
Meagan Maxwell, and
Shaelyn Yermal scored for Mount Olive.
The Trojans came to within two goals several times throughout the contest but were unable to bridge a comeback falling 12-8.
Against Florida Southern, Paige scored the game's first goal, and following a FSC score to tie, she scored the second go a head goal with 12:14 remaining in the opening quarter. Those two moments were the only time Mount Olive led as the Mocs ran away with the game taking the 21-7 victory.
