UMO Women's Lacrosse Prepare For South Region of NCAA Division II National Tournament

LAKELAND, Florida– The No. 18 University of Mount Olive Women's Lacrosse team will begin their journey in the 2021 NCAA Division II Women's Lacrosse South Regional Championship with play on Friday, May 14 at Moccasin Field at the Barnett Athletic Complex in Lakeland, Fla. The Trojans will square up against the No. 2 seed and No. 13 Limestone University. The selection is the first time in program history the Mount Olive Women's Lacrosse Team earned a bid in the South Region.  

The winner of Mount Olive-Limestone will take on the No. 1 seed and No. 5 Queens University on Sunday, May 16.

MATCH UP & OUTLOOK INFORMATION
The Trojans will battle the Saints of the Limestone University in the First Round on Friday at 12 p.m. UMO comes in as the underdog as they hold a 1-9 overall record against Limestone since the programs start in 2014. The lone victory did however come in the 2015 in the Conference Carolinas Championship final, that saw the Trojans take down the Saints 7-6 in double overtime for their first Conference Carolinas Championship in school history. The last time the two foes saw each other was April 27, 2019 which had Limestone take the contest by a final of 12-9.

TICKET INFORMATION
Spectators MUST BE on the approved participating team spectator list which, which will be provided by each school. Each participating team will be allotted 75 spectators to attend only the games they are participating in. Each spectator must remain socially distanced with their mask on at all times and will participate in a Covid-19 screening, have their temperature checked and purchase their tickets at the entrance to Moccasin Field. A wristband will be provided to each spectator. Ticket prices are $10 for adults, and $5 for students, seniors, and children. There will be no concessions available.
