Box Score Mount Olive, North Carolina - The No. 19 University of Mount Olive women's lacrosse team defeated Edinboro University 19-4 in non-conference action Monday night in Mount Olive, N.C.
INSIDE THE SCORE
The Trojans got the scoring started quickly with five goals taking the lead 5-0. Edinboro was able to get one on the scoreboard, but the Trojans controlled the remainder of the first half, putting away seven more goals to take the 12-1 lead earning the running clock. One unassisted, two assisted, and four free positions completed the breakdown of the seven goals to end the first half.
UMO came out of half time, scoring four more goals to push the lead 16-1 with 10:20 remaining in the game. Edinboro found an opening and shot one on goal but still trailed 16-2. The Fighting Scots couldn't bridge the gap in the final minutes as Mount Olive came out on top to close the game with a 19-4 win.
