Box Score Murfreesboro, North Carolina - The University of Mount Olive No. 19 women's lacrosse team defeated Chowan University 21-2 in Conference Carolinas action Wednesday afternoon in Murfreesboro, N.C.
INSIDE THE SCORE
The Trojans got the scoring started quickly with Ali Davis scoring less than a minute into action off an unassisted shot. Mount Olive added four more goals to extend the lead 4-0 with 24:26 remaining in the first half. Chowan was able to find an opening and score to put the Hawks up on the scoreboard but still trailing 4-1 at the 33:55 mark. Mount Olive controlled the remainder of the half going on a 10-0 run earning the running clock to end the first half 11-1.
Mount Olive came out of half time, scoring seven more goals to push the lead 18-1 with 9:32 remaining in the game. Chowan University got one more up on the scoreboard, but Mount Olive finished strong to take the commanding victory 21-2.
