Box Score DURHAM – The University of Mount Olive women's flag football team wrapped up its 2026 campaign on Friday evening, falling 72-0 to Ferrum in the quarterfinal round of the inaugural Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Championships at Durham County Memorial Stadium.

Mount Olive (7-7) showed resilience early, coming up with a key defensive stop on the opening possession and competing throughout the contest against a high-powered opponent. Despite the final score, the Trojans continued to battle on both sides of the ball for the full four quarters.

Offensively, Mount Olive totaled 108 yards, with quarterback Jaylianie Lucas leading the way through the air with 84 passing yards. Alivia Conticello paced the receiving unit with six catches for 45 yards, consistently providing a reliable target.

On the defensive end, the Trojans showcased effort and playmaking ability. Conticello led the team with six tackles, while Breanna Barbee and Riley Stanton each added four stops. Mount Olive also created turnovers, highlighted by three interceptions, including an early takeaway from Zamarah Rawls that set the tone in the opening quarter.

With the result, Mount Olive closes the year at 7-7 and caps off a historic campaign as a participant in the first-ever Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Championship—laying a strong foundation for the future of the program.
