MOUNT OLIVE – The University of Mount Olive women's flag football team earned recognition on the 2026 All-Conference Carolinas Teams, highlighted by standout performances from
Zamarah Rawls and
Evelisse Martinez.
Rawls was named First Team All-Conference at defensive back following an impressive all-around season. Defensively she collected 53 total tackles, including 5.0 tackles for loss and one sack, while showcasing her playmaking ability with five interceptions for 59 yards and eight pass breakups. In conference play, Rawls totaled 35 tackles and four interceptions.
Offensively, Rawls proved to be a dynamic threat, recording 23 receptions for 225 yards and three touchdowns, averaging 18.8 yards per game. She also added to her impact with 246 all-purpose yards on the season.
Martinez earned Second Team All-Conference honors as a specialist, excelling in multiple phases of the game. She totaled 30 punts for 823 yards, averaging 27.4 yards per punt, with a long of 47 yards and four punts placed inside the 20-yard line.
In addition to her special teams contributions, Martinez recorded 10 receptions for 139 yards and a touchdown offensively. Defensively, she added 26 total tackles, 5.0 sacks, and six tackles for loss, further showcasing her versatility.
The Trojans now turn their attention to the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Championship, the league's inaugural postseason event.
Mount Olive enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed and will face No. 2 seed Ferrum in the quarterfinals on Friday, April 17 at 7 p.m. at Durham County Memorial Stadium in Durham, North Carolina.
With a victory, the Trojans will advance to Saturday's semifinal round to face the winner of Lees-McRae and King (Tenn.) at 6 p.m. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, April 19.
All games will be played at Durham County Memorial Stadium. Fans can purchase tickets online at Conference Carolinas Online Ticketing, with all-tournament passes available for $18 in advance or $22 at the gate, while general admission is $10. Children 12 and under and Conference Carolinas students with a valid ID are admitted free.
Tournament broadcasts will also be available on the Conference Carolinas Digital Network, with daily passes priced at $10 and full tournament access available for $25.
With two All-Conference selections leading the way, Mount Olive looks to carry that momentum into postseason play in Durham.
