NEW ORLEANS – Janara Bryant has been awarded the USTFCCCA regional award for Division II Indoor Track & Field, Field Athlete of the Year this past Monday. Other honorees are Grace Devis from Converse for Track Athlete of the Year and Brandon Morton for Women's Coach of the Year.
Bryant is honored with this award because of her third-place finish in triple jump and 11
th place finish in long jump at NCAA DII Indoor Championships. She was also named by Conference Carolinas the Field Athlete of the Year after scoring 26 points at conference championships where she won the triple jump also getting a meet record and finished runner-up in both the high jump and long jump.
After the 2026 NCAA DII Indoor Track & Field Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia, award winners were chosen by a vote of USTFCCCA member coaches. Both regular season and NCAA Championship performances were taken into account. Awards are only given to participants in USTFCCCA member programs.
