GREENVILLE, S.C. - The University of Mount Olive women's track and field athletes
Serenity Harvey and
Janara Bryant claimed this week's athlete of the week awards following their stellar performances at the 9th Annual Adidas Trojan Challenge.
Bryant, a sophomore from Beaufort, NC took home first place in the triple jump with a leap of 12.52 meters which was also a DII provisional mark and finished second in the long jump with a jump of 5.44 meters. She is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation for Division II the triple jump with a jump of 13.11 meters which she archived at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invite. She also ranks first in the conference for the triple jump. This marks the fifth time this 2025-26 season, including her achievements in the indoor season.
Harvey, a Freshman from Whiteville, N.C. broke a school record while finishing in first place in both of her respected events. She competed in the 200-meter dash where she broke the school record with a blistering time of 23.63 seconds and the 400 meters where she finished in 56.16 seconds.
The Trojans are set to go on the road to compete in the VertKlasse Meeting hosted by High Point Univerisity.
