Mount Olive Women’s Lacrosse Picked Second in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. The University of Mount Olive women's lacrosse team was picked to finish second in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.

The Trojans earned 95 points and five first-place votes, narrowly trailing Belmont Abbey, which topped the poll with 96 points and six first-place votes. Young Harris (81 points), Barton (73), and North Greenville (60) rounded out the top five.

Players to watch for Mount Olive include Simone McCraw, Lily Mahoney, and Madison Dow.

McCraw earned USA Lacrosse All-American honors and was named Conference Carolinas Defensive Player of the Year last season. McCraw (First Team), Mahoney (First Team), and Dow (Third Team) each received All-Conference recognition following a standout campaign and will look to build on that success in the 2026 season under first-year head coach Katherine Stachowski.

The Trojans open the 2026 season at home against conference foe Southern Wesleyan on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 4 p.m.
