Women’s Cross Country With Second Best Division II Finish at Chanticleer Challenge, Finish Sixth Overall

RESULTS

CONWAY, S.C. - In a stacked meet featuring five Division I and four Division II teams, the
University of Mount Olive women's cross country had the second best finish out of the Division II teams at the Chanticleer Challenge, hosted by Coastal Carolina on Friday.

The Trojans scored 171 points to place sixth overall, finishing behind Lees-McRae (131), UNC Wilmington (130), College of Charleston (69), Coastal Carolina (53), and Richmond (17).

Hailey Morgan led the way for Mount Olive, finishing 44th in the women's 5k (20:25.0).

Alexandria White finished 47th (20:43.5), Danielle Johnston 48th (20:43.7), Vanessa Skorski 50th (21:10.9), and Peyton Roebuck 51st (21:16.6).

Audrey Nelson finished 59th (23:11.1), Jania Dolberry 65th (24:49.6), Victoria Badgett in 67th (25:20.7), and Maia Edminsten 69th (25:37.7).

Mount Olive's next competition will be in South Carolina in the Sand Shark Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11, before the Conference Carolinas Championship in Kernersville, NC on Oct. 24.
