Channie Jefferson produced a 17th-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles while competing at the NCAA Division II Nationals Championships, hosted at the Thunderbowl.
Jefferson made her first-ever appearance at the national meet in the 100-meter hurdles and competed for the second time in her career at the Thunderbowl. Competing in the second heat, she crossed the line in 13.93 seconds to place fourth in the heat and 17th overall in the event. The top two times from each heat, plus the following three best times, advanced to the final of the 100mH. In the field, a total of 10 hurdlers set a personal best time.
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Jefferson concludes another outstanding season with the Trojans, which included a USTFCCCA All-Region honor in the 100mH and setting the school record with a time of 13.66 seconds.
