Mount Olive Favored to Repeat in 2026 Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's indoor track and field team enters the 2026 season as the preseason favorite, aiming for a second straight Conference Carolinas title after topping the poll released Tuesday.

The Trojans earned 181 points and 13 of 14 first-place votes. Converse followed with 154 points and the remaining first-place vote. North Greenville (136), UNC Pembroke (130), and Belmont Abbey (124) completed the top five.

Mount Olive's athletes to watch include sophomore standouts Janara Bryant, Alexandria White, and Isabella Grena.

Bryant returns after a dominant freshman season highlighted by 2025 Conference Carolinas Athlete of the Year, USTFCCCA Southeast Region Field Athlete of the Year, Conference Carolinas Indoor Athlete of the Year, Indoor All-American honors, and an NCAA Outdoor runner-up finish.

White earned Second Team All-Conference honors in 2025 after placing 13th at the Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championships. Grena set personal bests last season in the discus, hammer, and javelin.

The Trojans open the 2025 season on December 5 at the Marlin First Chance in Virginia Beach, Va., hosted by Virginia Wesleyan University.
