Elin Rydqvist made their debut on Thursday afternoon at the NCAA Division II National Championships hosted at the Thunderbowl.
In the 100 meters, Harris crossed the line in 11.50 seconds to finish sixth in her heat and 15th overall in the preliminaries of the event. The top two times from each heat, plus the following three-best times, advanced to the final of the 100 meters. Harris concludes a successful opening season with the Trojans which included a pair of trips to Nationals, the Indoor Track and Freshman of the Year awards, and four Mount Olive records.
Rydqvist registered a 20th-place finish in the hammer throw after posting a toss of 51.18 meter on her third and final attempt. She finishes the outdoor campaign with four event victories, including the Conference Carolinas Championship in the hammer.
