Janara Bryant capped a historic indoor season for Mount Olive with an All-American performance at the NCAA Indoor National Championships following a sixth-place finish in the triple jump on Saturday afternoon.
Competing in the first flight, Bryant entered nationals with the 11th-best mark in the NCAA Division II after securing her spot in Indy at the Conference Carolinas Championships. On her second attempt, she leaped to a new career-best mark of 12.42 meters to win the flight and clinch her placement in the finals. Bryant would ultimately set another career-best mark and a new UMO record with a distance of 12.43 meters to capture a sixth-place finish.
Following her finish, Bryant was named an NCAA First-Team All-American after finishing among the top eight in NCAA Division II in her first appearance at nationals. She caps an impressive 2024-25 indoor season as the Conference Carolinas Field Athlete of the Year with a pair of league crowns in the triple jump and long jump, as well as being a member of the Conference Carolinas Championship team.

Karla Hormazabal improved her mark on all three attempts in the triple jump on Saturday before finishing 13th overall with a distance of 12.02 meters.
