Men's Lacrosse debuts at No. 19 in USILA poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (May 3) – After capturing its first-ever Conference Carolinas Tournament Championship, the University of Mount Olive men's lacrosse program debuted at No. 19 in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) poll, which was released by the organization this week.

The Trojans closed out the 2024 campaign with a 10-game winning streak and posted a 12-3 overall record under second-year head coach Dylan Price. UMO delivered a perfect 7-0 mark in league play for the first time in program history before capturing the Conference Carolinas title with a 12-11 overtime win over Belmont Abbey. Senior Aidan Lalonde set a new single-season record with 48 goals while fifth-year Chaz Goodman establish a new single-season mark with 40 assists.

Lenoir-Rhyne, the defending national champions, hold the top spot in the national poll with a 15-1 record while receiving 19 first-place votes. Limestone garnered the final two-first place nods to rank second behind a 16-1 mark this season. Tampa (17-1) sits third overall in the rankings while Adelphi (11-2) and Mercy (11-1) rounded out the top five.
