GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas released it's Freshman of the Month on Friday. The Trojans Laila Abouzaid  won freshman of the month. This is the first award for Abouzaid this season. 

THE WEEK IN A GLANCE

During January Abouzaid had an outstanding performance. She claimed a top ten finish in the one mile run in the Conference with a time of 5:27.81 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Also, in the 3000 Abouzaid recorded a top time in the Conference with a time of 10:34.88. A week later she set the second-best time in the Conference so far in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:28.86 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. 

The Trojan Track and Field teams will be back in action in Virginia Beach, Va. on Sunday February 6th 2022.
