UMO Track & Field Compete At VMI Winter Relays

LEXINGTON, Virginia - The University of Mount Olive men's and women's track and field competed at the VMI Winter Relays in Lexington, VA this weekend. The Trojans saw 11 changes in the UMO top-10, as well as four NCAA provisional qualifiers.

INSIDE THE RESULTS
On the men's side Justen Burnette set a new school record as well as running two NCAA provisional qualifying times in the 60 meter dash (6.81 placing 3rd) and in the 200 meter dash (21.56 placing 2nd and moving into 2nd all time). Jaleal Hamlet also had a good day in the field events hitting an NCAA Provisional mark in the Triple Jump placing 2nd and also moving into 2nd overall in the Mount Olive record book.

On the women's side, Jaylin Reeves improved to 3rd in the UMO record book with a time of 25.65 in the 200m dash finishing in 6th place. Mary Brigid Keck also had a good day in the field events, as she moved up to 1st place in the UMO record book mark with 17:48  in the weight throw, she also placed 3rd in the event throwing an NCAA provisional qualifying mark.
