Mount Olive, North Carolina. - The University of Mount Olive had another successful fall semester in the classroom. Fourteen of twenty-two sports had a team GPA of over a 3.0.
Men's Golf had the highest team GPA with a 3.686.
Two other teams achieved over a 3.5 GPA: Women's Golf and Women's Tennis. Including the three teams previously mentioned, 13 additional teams posted GPAs over a 3.0: Women's Soccer, Softball, Men's Tennis, Men's Volleyball, Women's Volleyball, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Cross Country, Men's Soccer, Field Hockey, Men's Lacrosse, Women's Basketball.
The average team GPA was a 3.135, which marked the 19th straight semester with over a 3.0 GPA.
"We are so proud of the job that our student-athletes have done in the classroom. They continue to achieve, semester after semester, demonstrating a commitment to excellence," said Vice President for Athletics Jeff Eisen.
There were also 35 student-athletes that had a perfect 4.0 GPA for the fall semester.
