The University of Mount Olive kicked off its annual Odyssey Leadership program this week. The purpose of the program is to help potential leaders develop a wide array of skills including self-awareness, confidence, and leadership strategies.
The Odyssey Leadership program started in 2011-12.
The first Odyssey session of the year was held Monday. The focus of the session was two-fold: learning the importance of communication and expressing gratitude
Â
The communication exercise had partners directing a blindfolded partner to find an object placed randomly in the arena. As part of the expressing gratitude session the participants wrote thank you cards to someone important in their life.
