KINGSVILLE, TEXAS. – The University of Mount Olive men's track & field team saw the men's 4x400m relay team punch their ticket to the finals of the 4x400 relays after finishing fifth on day two of the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field National Championships on Friday night in Kingsville, Texas. The team took fourth in heat number one and fifth overall to make the cut and qualify for a chance to take home a national championship tomorrow night.

RACE NOTABLES
- The men's 4x400m relay team secured their spot in the finals after finishing fourth in their heat of the 4x400 and placing fifth overall with a combined time of 3:11.07 just four seconds behind the top qualifier.
- UMO will have their work cut out for them in the finals as the Trojans lost roughly a second per leg to the top finisher overall in the event and will need to overcome that if the squad has any hopes of garnering their first-ever national championship.
