MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive track & field teams defeated the Braves of UNC Pembroke in the UNCP-UMO Duals at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex Friday in Mount Olive, N.C. The Trojans saw one NCAA Provisional qualifying mark, three school records broken, 55 Conference Carolinas Championship Qualifying marks and numerous moves in the UMO top-10.

WOMEN'S NOTABLES
- Candise Lockett set an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark in the hammer, winning the event with a distance of 53.96m She also broke the school record in the event.
- Princess Lea'E won the discus and in doing so broke the UMO school record with her throw of 43.40m.
- The final record-breaking performance was set by Kamber Skeen in the Javelin. Skeen broke her own UMO record with a new distance of 40.32m.
- The hammer saw two other Trojans move places in the top-10 as Hannah Glover and Tameia Morrison moved into 4th, and 6th respectively.
- The discus also had more moves along with Lea'E as Tameia Morrison and Samantha Tobin moved into 2nd and 8th place respectively.
MEN'S NOTABLES
- On the men's side, several Trojans made moves in the top-10.
- Most notably Luke Miller moved into second place in the Javelin with his throw of 56.21m and Tanner Smith also moved into second in the UMO record book in the Pole Vault with his height 3.95m, both athletes gained conference qualifiers in their events.
- Jawann Washington gained two conference qualifiers in the high and triple jumps moving into 4th and 9th place in the UMO record books.
- Ben Howard followed suit in the discus and hammer moving into 4th and 8th place respectively.

- The Trojans' men's and women's outdoor track and field teams will compete again at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. March 14-16.
