University of Mount Olive Men's and Women's Tennis teams both defeated North Greenville University 8-1 and 5-4 respectively at the Walker Tennis Center in Mount Olive, N.C. fin Conference Carolinas Tennis Friday.

On the men's side Mount Olive dropped the opening singles match before coming back to take the remaining eight matches in a row and take the match 8-1. Jose Cortijos, Martin Moser, Martim Sousa, Yannic Stark, and Sherzod Akramov all won their individual singles matches. 

Mount Olive then went on to win doubles in order as Ogulcan Deniz and Akramov won #1 doubles 8-7, Cortijos and Sousa took #2 doubles 8-1, and Moser and Stark took #3 doubles 8-3.

On the women's side Mount Olive took the first four opening singles matches. Stella DiMichele won #1 Singles, Alejandra Hernandez took #2 singles, Paulina Delgado won #3 singles, and Mulan Bartz picked up the win in #4 singles. North Greenville went on to take the final two singles matches and looked to make a run at winning the match. 

The Trojan duo of DiMichelle and Hernandez won #1 doubles 8-1 to seal the win for Mount Olive.

Mount Olive will host Southern Wesleyan University at the Walker Tennis Center Saturday. Both men's and women's matches are set to begin at 11 a.m. in Mount Olive, N.C.
