Dalbak Garners Singles and Doubles Wins on Day 1 of ITA Southeast Regional Championships

SUMTER, SC - The University of Mount Olive men's tennis team competed in the 2025 ITA Southeast Regional Championships.

Kristoffer Dalbak edged North Georgia's Bruno Britez 4-6, 6-4, (10-7) before falling 6-2, 6-3 to Columbus State's Daniel Hammond. Bram Poel dropped a 6-7 (4-7), 2-6 match to Wingate's Carlo Rosellini in round one and will face North Georgia's Ben Brandl in Saturday's consolation round.

In flight B singles, Niklas Gruenefeldt defeated Catawba's Ryosuke Inagawa 6-3, 7-6 (10-8). He meets Lenoir-Rhyne's Paul Daniel Meyer on Saturday.

Dalbak and Philip Peter Carstensen teamed up for an 8-6 doubles win over Tusculum's Angus Howard and Rens Verhaar in flight A. They face Belmont Abbey's Charlie Fremaux and Isaac Buerkle in the next round.

Gruenefeldt and Bram Poel fell 8-6 to North Georgia's Franco Rebora and Marcos Castellanos in flight B doubles.

The Trojans resume play Saturday in consolations and doubles action.
