GREENVILLE, S.C. - Mount Olives sophomores
Leland Smith and
Antoine King, are named Conference Carolinas track and field athlete of the week for the first and fourth time this 2025-26 season. King had previously won for his indoor achievements.
Smith showed out at the VertKlasse Meeting where he broke a school record and hit NCAA Division II provisional mark in the 100 meter dash with a blistering speed of 10.29 seconds. With this achievement he is now ranked ninth in the nation for DII, third in the southeast region, and first in the conference.
King also produced a NCAA Division II provisional mark during the VertKlasse Meeting in the discus throw with a distance of 54.89 meters. This throw keeps jim ranks first in the conference, first in the southeast region, and bumps him up to sixth in nation for DII.
Mount Olive will be hosting their second meet of the year, the Trojan Relay, April 10-11.
