Mount Olive Flag Football Picked to Finish Seventh in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's flag football team earned a seventh-place selection in the inaugural Conference Carolinas Women's Flag Football Preseason Poll, announced Thursday by the league.

The Trojans collected 50 votes to finish seventh overall. Lees-McRae claimed the preseason top spot with 79 points and five first-place votes, followed by Barton with 73 points and one first-place vote. Wingate placed third with 70 points and three first-place votes, while King (66 points, one first-place vote) and Ferrum (58 points) rounded out the top five.

Mount Olive highlighted three players to watch: Alivia Conticello, Ji'Kayla Marshall, and Jaylianie Lucas.


Conticello, a freshman wide receiver/rusher from Auburndale, Fla., earned All-County Flag Football honors in 2024. Lucas, also a freshman from Auburndale, received Ledger's Girl Flag Football Player of the Year award in 2023, joins Marshall, a freshman wide receiver/defensive back, joins her as another key newcomer for the Trojans.


The Trojans open the 2026 season at home against North Carolina Central on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 7 p.m. at Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex.
