Mount Olive Men’s Lacrosse Picked Third in Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll

GREENVILLE, S.C. The University of Mount Olive men's lacrosse team was selected to finish third in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll, as announced by the league office Thursday afternoon.

The Trojans earned 51 points to place third overall. North Greenville topped the poll with 59 points and four first-place votes, while Belmont Abbey followed closely with 58 points and four first-place votes. Barton (38 points, one first-place vote), Young Harris (33), and Lees-McRae (33) rounded out the top five of the poll.

Players to watch for Mount Olive include Kurtis Lensing, Ben Vanderkley, and Brayden Rieger.

Lensing, a 2025 Second Team All-Conference selection, is joined by Vanderkley and Rieger on the players to watch list following strong performances last season. Rieger was named Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month twice during an impressive debut campaign.

The Trojans open the 2026 season at home against Catawba on Saturday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m.
