MYRTLE BEACH (March 22) – The University of Mount Olive men's track & field program captured the team title, set three NCAA provisional standards, and one school record at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational this weekend.
The Trojans led the field with 99.5 points after scoring in 13 events at the three-day event, including earning maximum points behind four individual victories. Mount St. Mary's earned second overall with 83 points and Coastal Carolina finished third after scoring 71.5 points. UNC Pembroke (65) and Lynn (64) rounded out the top five in the team standings.
Sophomore
Ryan Wilson-McCoy reset his program record and hit the NCAA mark in the triple jump with a first-place finish following a distance of 15.24 meters, which ranks sixth in NCAA Division II.
Graduate student
Dominic Nutter improved his NCAA qualifying standard and secured first place in the hammer throw with a toss of 61.62 meters on his fifth attempt. He is one of 10 athletes to set an NCAA Provo in the event and ranks fifth in NCAA Division II this season.
Junior
Jamavie Glover established an NCAA provisional mark in the 100 meters after crossing the line with a blistering pace of 10.43 seconds to finish third overall. He currently ranks second in the Southeast Region and ninth in the nation in the event.
Sophomore
Sigursteinn Asgeirsson earned a first-place finish in the shot put with a toss of 16.55 meters. Senior
Nicholas Cloud finished runner-up in the event with a distance of 15.65 meters, while sophomore
Jaylin Durbin improved his league standard with a personal-best mark of 13.56 meters.
Freshman
Amari Noble captured an individual event victory in the discus and improved his conference-qualifying standard with a distance of 47.22 meters.
In the 200 meters, junior
Jason Hart posted a second-place finish after crossing the line in 21.77 seconds. Freshman
Travelius Leach registered a time of 21.89 seconds to place seventh overall. Freshman
Savion Kinard and freshman
Jacoby Pevia each hit the league mark in the event with times of 22.06 and 22.08, respectively.
Sophomore
Matthew Heywood recorded a third-place finish in the hammer throw with a toss of 51.29 meters.
Fellow sophomore
Evan Hall delivered a pair of league qualifying standards while competing in Myrtle Beach. He places third overall in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 9:56.34, while earning fifth in 5000 meters after posting a time of 15:45.63.
Graduate student
Holden Gerth improved his conference standard with a distance of 58.91 meters to finish fourth overall and fell just short of the NCAA mark.

Christopher Kirksey, and Leach earned fourth place with a time of 3:22.50.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Pevia, Hart, Glover, and freshman
Leland Smith also finished fourth overall after crossing the line in 41.86 seconds.
Junior
Kavon Poindexter finished sixth in the high jump after clearing 1.90 meters.
Fellow junior
Brendin Marks placed seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 13.97 meters.
Sophomore
Zacharie Fedelus produced a leap of 6.64 meters in the long jump to finish eighth overall.
Senior
Riley Willcox captured an eighth-place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 1:57.80.
Additionally, in the 100 meters, Smith reached the league mark with a time of 10.88 seconds while Kinard also reached the conference qualifying mark after posting a time of 10.97 seconds.
Crymes, Jr. also set a league standard in the 400 meters with a time of 49.88 seconds.
Mount Olive will host the Adidas Trojan Challenge next weekend on March 28-29 at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex.
