MOUNT OLIVE – Three members of the University of Mount Olive men's track & field program were recognized with 2026 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA)
All-Academic Athlete honors.
Sigursteinn Asgeirsson, Micah Harrison and
Zion Richardson-Keys each received the prestigious recognition, representing three of the seven Conference Carolinas men's student-athletes selected for the award.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete honors, student-athletes must post a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.25 while also meeting elite competitive standards. Honorees must have been academically eligible during the championship season and either rank among the nation's top 50 individuals in an event, compete on one of the nation's top 35 relay teams, or qualify for the NCAA Division II Indoor or Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
The honor recognizes student-athletes who have demonstrated excellence both in the classroom and in NCAA Division II competition, reflecting the dedication required to succeed academically while competing at a high level.
