PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. (Jan. 25) – Freshman Lavrans Broen Holm fired a one-under 69 in the final round to climb 18 spots on the individual leaderboard, as the Trojans tied for 13th overall at the Spring Bulldog Clash, hosted by Barton.

The Trojans tied for 13th in the team standings after carding a 30-over 870 (283-293-294) in a field of 19 teams, including six ranked programs. #17 Wingate secured the tournament title by one stroke with an impressive 15-under 825 (275-268-282) behind three golfers in the top-25. Arkansas-Fort Smith finished second overall with a score of 14-under 826 (287-275-273) while #20 Lander placed third after shooting 11-under 829 (278-275-276).

Broen Holm ultimately tied for 48th overall after carding a five-over 215 (71-75-69) behind a team-high 10 birdies while adding 30 pars over three rounds of play. He fired a final round score of one-under 69 with four birdies and an eagle on the par-five eighth hole.

Junior Shawn Benson finished one stroke back with a six-over 216 (70-73-73) to tie for 51st overall while totaling seven birdies, one eagle, and a team-best 35 pars at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club. Junior Max Lindblad shot a nine-over 219 (70-71-78) behind seven birdies and 33 pars to tie for 68th place. Sophomore Jonas Arnstrom Bakker tied for 78th with a score of 15-over 225 (72-78-75) after tallying seven birdies and 31 pars in South Carolina. Senior Gabriel Ekholm rounded out the team to tie for 87th overall while shooting a 19-over 229 (78-74-77) with three birdies and 31 pars.

Lander senior Gaston Edberg won the individual title by one stroke after firing a 12-under 198 (68-64-66) with 15 birdies and two eagles.

Mount Olive returns on March 3-4 at the Bearcat Classic hosted by Lander at the Greenwood Country Club in South Carolina.
