Victoria Morelli each finished among the top 10 on the individual leaderboard on Tuesday afternoon, as the University of Mount Olive women's golf program tied for third place at the Conference Carolinas Championship.
The Trojans posted a 28-over 316 during the final round while competing at the Carolina Country Club in South Carolina. Mount Olive tied for third in the team standings alongside Converse at the 10-team event after shooting a 92-over 956 (327-313-316). North Greenville secured its first Conference Carolinas Tournament title and collected the automatic bid to the 2024 NCAA Division II Women's Golf Championship behind a score of 66-over 930 (302-321-307). King placed second overall in the team standings after firing the lowest final-round score to finish with an 83-over 947 (322-319-306).
In her first appearance at the championship event, Levet earned all-tournament honors behind a nine-place finish at the 54-hole competition. She registered back-to-back rounds of four-over 76 to complete the tournament with a 20-over 236 (84-76-76). Levet totaled two birdies and 10 pars during the third round while playing the front nine at even par.
Morelli captured all-tournament honors for a consecutive year after tying for ninth place at the conference championship. She totaled six pars while converting a pair of birdies on the back nine to finish with an eight-over 80 during the final round. Morelli recorded a 20-over 236 (79-77-80) and ranked among the top 10 during the entire tournament.
Freshman
Valentina Agostino tied for 18th overall after competing at the third-round event with a score of 27-over 243 (83-80-80). On Monday, she converted nine pars and made a birdie on par five 18th to shoot an eight-over 80. Freshman
Claire Beitel tied for 25th place with a 32-over 248 (81-87-80) behind nine pars and one birdie during the final day. Sophomore
Violette Daudin placed 33rd overall after carding a 36-over 252 (87-80-85) to round out the team.
Nicole Kramer of North Greenville (74-76-74) battled back in the final round to force a playoff against Mara Martinez of Emmanuel (72-75-77) with both ending their efforts with a three-round score of 224. Kramer captured the individual title with a win in the playoff.
