GREENWOOD, S.C. – The university of Mount Olive women's golf team participated in the Greenwood Women's Invitational, hosted by Lander University.

Mount Olive finished in the top five in a competitive field that consisted of five nationally ranked opponents, including No. 7 ranked Lander, No. 21 Erskine, No. 28 Palm Beach Atlantic, No. 39 Montevallo, and No. 50 ranked Union (Tenn.).

Lander took home the team title with a first place finish of +22, followed by Erskine who came in at +37, Palm Beach Atlantic came in third with a +43, and the top five was rounded out with Montevallo with a +48 and the Trojans in fifth who finished the tournament at an even 70-over par.

Lucie Levet finished the tournament tied for eleventh coming in at 12-over. Levet recorded the best finish to round 1 of the tournament shooting 2-under. 

To round out the rest of the Trojans, Elin Kennborn and Valentina Agostino finished tied for 22nd shooting 18-over par. Claire Beitel finished her tournament at +24, which gave her a solo finish in 34th, and Aoi Ito finished 29-over par, placing her tied for 39th at the end of the tournament.

The Trojans get some time to recover before they prepare for the 2026 Conference Carolinas Women's Golf Championships taking place in Spartanburg, S.C. April 12-14th.
