SPARTANBURG, SC (April 15) – After shooting the lowest score during the second round, the University of Mount Olive women's golf team climbed into second place in the team standings while competing at the Conference Carolinas Championship on Monday.

The Trojans leaped three positions in the team standings to sit second overall with a 64-over 640 (327-313) while featuring a trio of golfers in the top 20. North Greenville remains in first place with a score of 47-over 623 (302-321) behind three players in the top 10 on the individual leaderboard. King currently rounds out the top three with a score of 65-over 641 (322-319) while competing at the Carolina Country Club.

Junior Victoria Morelli moved up four spots on the leaderboard to tie for fifth overall with a 12-over 156 (79-77) after converting an impressive 13 pars while playing the front nine at two-over during today's round. Freshman Lucie Levet advanced a staggering 18 slots on the individual leaderboard after shooting a four-over 76 on Monday with 12 pars and one birdie. She is tied for 12th overall with a score of 16-over 160 (84-76).

Freshman Valentina Agostino sits in 17th place while competing in her first championship event and holds a score of 19-over 163 (83-80). On Monday, she converted nine pars and made a birdie on the par five 18th. Sophomore Violette Daudin is tied for 27th overall with a 23-over 167 (87-80) while tallying 11 pars and a birdie on the par three third. Freshman Claire Beitel after two rounds holds a score of 24-over 168 (81-87) and made a pair of birdies today.

Emmanuel sophomore Mara Martinez continues to hold the individual lead with a score of three-over 147 (72-75) after carding two birdies and 10 pars on Monday.

Mount Olive closes out the third and final round at the Conference Carolinas Championships tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16, with tee times at approximately 8:30 a.m.
