Box Score NEWBERRY, S.C. (Oct. 22) – Facing a nationally-ranked opponent on Tuesday afternoon, the Trojans were unable to overcome an early deficit and suffered a 3-1 loss at No. 8 Newberry in South Atlantic Conference (SAC) play.

With the loss, the University of Mount Olive field hockey program had a four-match winning streak snapped and fell to 8-4 overall behind a 7-3 mark in league action. Entering the final two weeks of the regular season, the Trojans remain in battle for one of the top seeds in the conference standings. Meanwhile, Newberry improves to 11-2 this season with a 7-2 record in conference play.
