MANHEIM, Pa. (Dec. 11) – Following consecutive strong performances over the previous two weekends, the University of Mount Olive women's wrestling program was ranked No. 20 overall in the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Women's Wrestling Coaches' Poll, which was released on last Thursday.
The Trojans have been featured in all three rankings released by the organization this season after debuting in the poll for the first time in program history at No. 12 during the preseason. Following this weekend, Mount Olive boasts a 7-4 overall record, which matches its win total from the inaugural season in 2022-23.
Additionally, junior
Samantha Miller debuts at No. 7 overall in the 109-weight class after previously being featured at 101 in the initial pair of rankings released by the NWCA. She boasts an 11-4 overall record this season and had a stellar performance at the Patriot Duals after posting a 5-1 mark with four pins.
Mount Olive will return to the mat following winter break and travel to Pennsylvania for the Ursinus Duals on Sunday, January 7, starting at 10 a.m.
