Celine Fleurilus earned all-conference accolades on Saturday morning, as the University of Mount Olive women's cross country program finished 10th in the team standings at the Conference Carolinas Championships.
The Trojans recorded 262 points at the league meet in a field of 13 teams. Converse captured its first-ever Conference Carolinas Championship with 31 points after four runners placed in the top-10 overall. UNC Pembroke finished with 67 points and featured the individual champion, while North Greenville rounded out the top three with 79 points.
Fleurilus claimed Third-Team All-Conference honors after placing 17th overall in the conference race with a career-best time of 23:50.1 over the six-kilometer course. A native of Port Charlotte, Florida, she led the team in all five races this season and collected her fourth top-20 finish this fall. It marks the 14th consecutive year that Mount Olive has featured at least one runner on the all-league teams.
Sophomore
Ciara Sulton finished in 45th place with a time of 25:51.9 while competing at McAlpine Park in Charlotte, North Carolina. Fellow sophomore
Natalie Baldwin crossed the line with a time of 27:04.0 to place 55th overall in a field of 90 runners. Junior
Caroline Allred registered an 83rd-place finish with a time of 31:00.6 while senior Tylyia Triggs finished 87th overall behind a time of 34:44.7 on Saturday.
UNC Pembroke freshman Moureen Kimaiyo captured the individual medalist honors by nearly 14 seconds after crossing the line with a time of 22:07.1.
