GREENVILLE, South Carolina. --- The 2022 Conference Carolinas women's golf preseason poll was released by the conference office. The preseason poll was voted on by the league's head coaches.
The University of Mount Olive (UMO) enters the spring season ranked second in the Conference Carolinas preseason poll, according to Conference Carolinas coaches. Mount Olive received total of 85 points.
During the 2020-21 season, UMO secured three top-three finishes over four tournaments,including winning the Cobra Spring Invite and the Barton Intercollegiate. The Trojans went onto finish as the runners-up at the 2021 Conference Carolinas Championship. Emma Leclercq won the individual championship with a 73-73-78-224 performance, also earning her all-tournament honors. Linn Andersson also earned all-tournament honors finishing t-6th.
Emma Leclerqc, Sr., Castel Nau Le Lez, France (2021 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference Carolinas, All-Tournament Team, Medalist), Linn Andersson, Sr., Akersbega, Sweden (2021 Second Team All-Conference Carolinas; 2019 Freshman of the Year, Second Team All-Conference Carolinas, All-Tournament Team), and Victoria Morellil, Fr. were all named UMO Women's golfers to watch.
The 2021-22 spring season gets back underway Feb 7 with the World Golf Invitational hosted by Flagler College. The conference championship is set for April 3-5 in Hartwell, Ga.
