Mount Olive, N.C. – The University of Mount Olive women's soccer team took a 2-1 victory over Conference Carolinas foe Belmont Abbey, Saturday afternoon at Amon Field.
Game Information
Mount Olive (6-0-1, 3-0-0) saw Belmont Abbey (1-4-1, 1-1-1) take the first score of the game in the 11th minute. The Trojans did not falter as Nya Beccelli answered in the 17th minute sending the game into halftime tied at one.
In the second the Mount Olive had to wait 10 minutes before Jasmine Pinter knotted the eventual game-winning goal 55:59 into the game. UMO's defense locked down BAC's offensive third allowing just one shot for the remainder of the contest, securing the 2-1 victory.

"Today was a great performance by the girls. From the opening kickoff they came out with a great attitude, stuck to the game plan, and executed under pressure extremely well. We still have a lot of areas to grow but today was another fantastic step forward," said head coach Sharif Saber.
