MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina - The No. 5 seeded University of Mount Olive field hockey team look to capture their first South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Champions this week in South Carolina., Nov. 2-7. UMO opens up play Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. against No. 4 seeded Newberry College.
TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The 2021 South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Field Hockey Championship quarterfinals will be played on Tuesday, Nov. 2 at the higher seeds, while the semifinals will be played in Spartanburg, S.C. at Converse on Friday, Nov. 5. Winners will advance to the championship finals on Sunday, Nov. 7, also at Converse.
TROJANS OUTLOOK
The Trojans are coming off their best season in program history finishing 6-8 overall and 6-6 in conference play, earning the No. 5 seed in the Conference Championship.
Mount Olive played three top-10 nationally ranked opponents and went 1-2 in those matches, including beating No. 10 Limestone University at home 3-2. UMO also concluded the season at home, knocking off South Atlantic Conference Carolinas regular-season champion Converse 2-1.
