The University of Mount Olive (5-8, 5-6) fell to Newberry (9-6, 6-5) 1-0 in South Atlantic Conference Carolinas action Wednesday afternoon.
Game Information
The opening quarter was a defensive battle as only two shots were recorded. Both teams were all square with penalty corners 1-1.
In the second the same script happened as no goals were scored, with both teams registering at least two shots.
In the third, the Trojans held the advantage in both shots (2-1) and penalty corners (4-1) but could not convert a shot and the teams went into the final frame still scoreless.
Mount Olive in the fourth, was unable to record a shot. Newberry off a penalty corner, nine minutes in snuck a shot past the Trojan keeper and took the 1-0 lead. the quarter ended without another shot and UMO fell 1-0.

Morgan Paterson led the Trojans with two shots.
Wolves Leaders
Newberry was led by Yasmin De Meyer with the game-winning goal.

"We played good hockey, but we did not generate enough opportunities to take shots on their goal. That is what we missed today and need more in the future," said Head Coach
