Mount Olive, North Carolina. - The University of Mount Olive softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader with Wingate University 9-0, 5-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Mount Olive, North Carolina

GAME ONE INFORMATION

The Bulldogs won game one in dominating fashion as Wingate put up nine runs to win the five-inning game with two home runs in the top of the fourth.

The Trojans battled back but were unable to cut into the lead and lost the game 9-0.

TROJAN LEADERS
The Trojans were led by Madison Morgan, who had one hit.

WINGATE LEADERS 
The Bulldogs were led by Mary Claire Coyne, who had two runs and one RBI.

KEY MOMENT
The key moment came when the Bulldogs put up nine runs in the top of the fourth.

GAME TWO INFORMATION
The Bulldogs scored first in the bottom of the second inning to grab the 1-0 lead. UMO added a run of their own in the bottom of the sixth inning thanks to a single by Alexis Oliver. Wingate University took the 5-1 lead in the top of the seventh inning highlighted by a three-run home run and the Bulldogs closed out the contest with the 5-1 win.

The Bulldogs were led by Sam Hogan, who had two hits and three RBI.

The key moment was when Wingate University scored four runs at the top of the seventh to take the 5-1 lead.
