Box Score 2 Mount Olive, North Carolina. - The University of Mount Olive softball team dropped a non-conference doubleheader with Wingate University 9-0, 5-1 on Wednesday afternoon in Mount Olive, North Carolina
GAME ONE INFORMATION
The Bulldogs won game one in dominating fashion as Wingate put up nine runs to win the five-inning game with two home runs in the top of the fourth.
The Trojans battled back but were unable to cut into the lead and lost the game 9-0.

The Bulldogs scored first in the bottom of the second inning to grab the 1-0 lead. UMO added a run of their own in the bottom of the sixth inning thanks to a single by Alexis Oliver. Wingate University took the 5-1 lead in the top of the seventh inning highlighted by a three-run home run and the Bulldogs closed out the contest with the 5-1 win.
