Box Score CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team fell to the Crimson of Harvard University in straight sets, 25-23 25-22 25-13 on Saturday afternoon in Cambridge, Ma.
GAME INFORMATION
The opening set started with Harvard grabbing the first point of the set en route to gaining a 7-2 lead early on. Mount Olive was able to draw to within two points twice at 10-12 and 22-24 before, on a 3-0 run, the Trojans forced back-to-back timeouts by HU. UMO down by only one was close to snatching an opening set, but Harvard took the last kill and the set.
Mount Olive took an early 4-2 lead before Harvard gained the momentum back once more on a an 8-to-3 run and led 10-7. UMO tied the set five times before Harvard ended the set on a 7-to-3 run and took the second set 25-22.
The third set saw HU take a 3-0 lead and ballon it to a 10-3 cushion before the advantage quickly became 20-9. Mount Olive scattered some points along the way but the Crimson ended the set on a 5-to-2 run and won the third set 25-13 and the match 3-0.
TROJAN LEADERS
The Trojans were led by Tobi Azeez with 15 kills in the match. Nicholas Laxar tallied 30 of the team's 32 assists.
HARVARD LEADERS
The Crimson were led by Griffin Schmit with 12 kills. Matthew Ctvrlik also collected 38 assists.
KEY MOMENT
The key moment came in the final set when HU catapulted out to a 20-to-9 lead and cruise to a third set victory and straight-set match win.

Mount Olive will return home to take on North Greenville on February 14 at 7 p.m. in Kornegay Arena.
