FAIRFIELD, Connecticut - The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team fell to the Big Red of Sacred Heart University 3-1, 25-20 25-26 26-25 25-19 on Friday night in Fairfield, Ct.

GAME INFORMATION
The opening set started with Mount Olive grabbing the first point of the match and jumped out to a 6-4 lead. Sacred Heart then went onto take the next four points and take the lead for the second time. The match then went onto be tied four times before the Big Red scored four unanswered points again to take a 13-9 lead. The five-point lead stayed for much of the set until the Trojans were able to get the set down to two but the set was taken by Sacred Heart 25-20.

Sacred Heart took an 8-4 lead after taking the first points of the set. The Big Red then used a five-point run to extend their lead to 13-6. The squads exchanged blows but SHU kept two points to every point UMO gained and extended their lead to 10 and take the set 25-16.

The third set saw UMO use a couple of three-point runs to take 12-6 lead. After the Trojans pushed the lead to 17-9, the teams went point-for-point for the rest of the set until Mount Olive was able to take the last two points and force a fourth set. 

SHU took the first two points of the fourth and moved out to an 11-7 lead. A few two-point rallies were exchanged between the two teams but the Big Red held onto their lead at 18-14 forcing a UMO timeout. Following the timeout, Sacred Heart utilized a 5-to-1 run to take to momentum even further and take the final set 25-19 and the match 3-1.

TROJAN LEADERS
The Trojans were led by Tobi Azeez with 20 kills in the match. Nicholas Laxar tallied 39 of the team's 46 assists and Jarrod Ferguson led the defense recording 10 digs.

SACRED HEART LEADERS
The Big Red were led by Rob Chatterton with 16 kills. Ramiro Balaguer collected 45 assists and Timothy McIntosh tallied 13 digs. 

KEY MOMENT
The key moment came in the final set when SHU was able to use a 5-1 run to secure the final set and the match 3-1.
