Box Score Mount Olive, North Carolina - The No.11 University of Mount Olive No. 11 men's lacrosse team fell to No. 7 Seton Hill University Griffins in non-conference action Saturday afternoon at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex in Mount Olive, N.C.
INSIDE THE SCORE
Mount Olive lost the opening faceoff, but regained possession after Andrew Avarello made a key save. Connor Watson then found the back of the net and scored the first goal for the Trojans with 13:16 remaining in the first quarter. The Griffins responded back with their first goal tying the game 1-1 at the 10:41 mark. Both teams went back in forth, but Seton Hill took a 3-2 run to take the lead 4-3 to end the first quarter.
In the second quarter, Mount Olive came out with a little more fire as Connor Watson found Tyler Keele to tie the game 4-4 at the 11:06 mark. The Griffins quickly responded back with a 4-1 run in the remaining minutes of the second quarter and took an 8-5 lead into halftime.
In the third quarter, Seton Hill scored the first two goals with Robert Hofseth and Zack Estabrooks finding the back of the net keeping the Griffins in the lead 10-5 with 9:36 remaining. Mount Olive finally put one more up on the scoreboard to end the third quarter, but still trailing 10-6.
In the final quarter, Mount Olive's Tyler Keele was able to find the back of the net once more for the Trojans to draw the deficit to three at the 12:49 mark. Seton Hill, however, added two more goals to end the game and took the 11-7 win.
