MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina. - The University of Mount Olive men's volleyball team fell to the Bulldogs of Barton College in straight sets, 25-18 25-23 25-21 on Wednesday night in Kornegay Arena.

GAME INFORMATION
The opening set started with Barton taking the first three points and jumping out to a 5-1 lead. Mount Olive kept it close, within two points, for most of the match but Barton ended the match on a 5-0 run to take the opening set 25-18.

Mount Olive saw a similar second set as the Bulldogs took a 4-1 lead early on and once again UMO was able to keep the set within two for a majority of the set. The Trojans would tie the set four times, but could once again never gain the lead and Barton closed the set out on a kill from Angelos Mandilaris.

The final set saw a tighter beginning with the set being tied at three before the Trojans took their first lead at 7-5 on the backs of a 4-0 run. Barton, however, countered the punch with a 5-0 run of their own to regain the lead at 10-7. Mount Olive did battle back at tie the set twice at the 20 and 21 point marks, but BC took the final four points to take the set and match.

TROJAN LEADERS
The Trojans were led by Jarrod Ferguson with 14 kills in the match. Ethan Morales tallied 33 of the team's 34 assists.

BARTON LEADERS
The Bulldogs were led by Angelos Mandiaris with 17 kills. Oscar Fiorentino also collected 41 assists.

KEY MOMENT
The key moment came in the final set when BC was able to take the final four points in the set and win the match 3-0.
