Trojans Fall To No. 3 East Stroudsburg 7-0

MOUNT OLIVE, North Carolina – The University of Mount Olive women's field hockey team dropped a 7-0 decision to No. 3 East Stroudsburg University in non-conference action Sunday afternoon at the Ray McDonald Sr. Sports Complex.   
 
Game Information
The Trojans kept the Warriors at bay for the first five minutes of the opening quarter before ESU found the back of the cage and took ahold of the game from that point. East Stroudsburg went onto add two more scores in the first quarter in the 11th and 13th minutes respectively to expand their lead to 3-0.

The second quarter saw four more scores all by ESU and the game was secured as neither team added a goal in the second half and Mount Olive picked up their second loss of the season.

 
Trojan Leaders
Delaney Norr and Eline Udo were the only Trojans to record a shot in the game.

Victoria Lane (1-2, 1-1) in the cage for the Trojans recorded four saves on 11 shots on frame.

Warrior Leaders
East Stroudsburg was led by Emily Mehnery with her three scores as she was perfect from the field.

Key Moment
The first score of the game proved to be the deciding factor as Mount Olive was unable to get the offense going after the opening score from ESU in the opening frame.
