GAME RUNDOWN

• The Trojans tried to attack from the beginning as Trae Sweeting and Jose Lopez led off the top of the first with singles to give UMO runners at first and second.
• Nate Estes, following a putout, gave Mount Olive the lead as he launched a ball over the left field wall for a bases-clearing home run.
• Limestone responded with a solo home run in the bottom of the second to trail by two.
• The Saints continued to press tacking five runs over the three innings to take a 6-3 lead after the fifth inning.
• Mount Olive tried to make a bit of a comeback as two runs came across on a wild pitch and a Drew Ellis RBI-single as the Trojans trailed 6-5 the eighth.
• LC countered with a solo home run in the bottom half and UMO was unable to mount a comeback despite getting multiple runners on in the top of the ninth as Limestone took the series opener 7-5.

KEY STATS

• German Reyes (6-1) suffered the loss for Mount Olive as he allowed six runs off nine hits and struck out five.
