FIRST SET
- The Trojans quickly opened the first set going up 9-4 to hold a five-point lead early in the game.
- A 7-5 run by UMO gave the Trojans a seven-point lead 16-9 forcing an NGU timeout.
- Mount Olive held off the Crusader rally as they won the first set 25-18.
SECOND SET
- UMO scored the first four points of the second set before NGU got on the board.
- The teams went point for point until the Trojans went on a 5-1 run taking the 18-12 lead.
- Mount Olive pulled out the 25-19 set win taking a 2-0 match lead as both teams scored seven points each to close out the set.
THIRD SET
- After the two teams opened the set pretty evenly, Mount Olive took a four-point lead, 10-6, early in the third.
- North Greenville went on a four-point run to take a two-point lead, 16-14 halfway through the set.
- Mount Olive reclaimed the lead scoring three points in a row going up 19-18 to force an NGU timeout.
- The score tied up five times late in the game but the Crusaders got the final two points of the set following a pair of UMO errors to win 25-23 putting the match score at 2-1.
FOURTH SET
- Mount Olive hit the ground running as they went up 11-4 to start the fourth set forcing a North Greenville timeout.
- The teams each scored six points over the next several serves before NGU called another timeout with UMO holding an 18-10 lead.
- NGU put together a 7-1 run closing the gap to two points, 19-17 before the Trojans put down three straight kills by Bret Rutledge putting the score at 22-17.
- Mount Olive staved off the Crusader run as they won the fourth set 25-22 and the match 3-1.
